Applications and Requirements
If you want to file for asylum within the U.S., you must be located in the U.S. but not have standing as a U.S. citizen. You can reach out to our immigration lawyers to then initiate an asylum application online.
The application, known as Form I-589, allows anyone eligible for asylum to remain within the U.S. without paying a fee. The application allows the applicant to include their children and spouse present in the U.S. as parties who deserve to benefit from the right to remain in the country.
You have an obligation to submit credible evidence indicating that you fear deportation and the detrimental impact of your return to your country of origin. Fortunately, our immigration lawyers can help you secure the evidence you need to prove that returning to your home country would put you in immediate danger.
